These are…besides death and taxes
1. ONE SIZE DOESN’T FIT ALL–There are many paths in life’s journey. All paths are equal as long as they meet two conditions. The first is they are within the rule-of-law and the second is they are within the bounds of morality.
2. LIFE ISN’T PERFECT–Don’t try to be perfect! Trying so will destroy you. On the other hand, you can be better.

Mortals can’t be perfect. We are not designed that way. You might say this by definition. Only God (however you wish to define it) is perfect.
When mortals choose to pursue the path of perfection (or being the best) expect nothing but problems and potential disaster. Why? There is an old Greek saying that explains why the path of perfection for mortals leads to disaster. It is: for whom the Gods will destroy, they first make overconfident. When individuals are overconfident they charge ahead oblivious to the dangers and crosscurrents that await. In other words, they are oblivious to...

In physics there exists a law titled the “conservation of matter”. It basically states that matter can not be easily created or destroyed. However, the states of matter can be changed. For example, by applying enough heat to a solid you can transform it into a liquid, as with ice. A liquid heated to the boiling point can be changed into a gas. In all cases they are still the original matter, but in a different state.
In a similar vein, using the law of the conservation of matter, there exists in all societies a conservation of personal power. It states that Personal Power can neither...

The long kiss goodbye refers to the American middle class and their road to extinction if the current form of national health care (Obama Care) passes. As usual, Congress has vastly underestimated the costs of this plan and has overestimated the tax revenues to pay for it. As an example, in 1965 the Congressional Budget Office estimated the cost of Medicare 25 years latter in 1990. Their estimated cost was $13 billion. The actual cost was $109 billion.
Congress will be forced to seek additional revenues. This will fall hard on the American middle class because that is where the money...

I guess the feel good definition is when a community of individuals pools their resources to help the disadvantaged. This sounds good but it is not the correct definition of socialism.
The true and correct definition is— socialism is a form of government where the government controls the three factors of production (LAND, LABOR, & CAPITAL) either in large measure or in toto. At best you are a serf and at worse you are a slave.
This is why Nobel Prize winner in economics, Friedrich Hayek, stated that Socialism is Slavery.

A very important equation: MONEY=OPPORTUNITY.
If you tax away money (opportunity) from those who have made it (the wealthy) do you not also tax it away from those who wish to make it. You can not hurt one without hurting the other. This is why taxing the rich schemes do not work. We all pay the price of reduced economic opportunities and employment growth.

Considering what is going on in political Washington, I thought you might be interested in the quote below.
“In the simplicity of their minds, people
more readily fall victims to the big lie than
the small lie, since they themselves often
tell small lies in little matters but would be
ashamed to resort to large-scale falsehoods.
It would never come into their heads to fabricate
colossal untruths, and they would not
believe that others could have such impudence.
Even though the facts which prove
this to be so may be brought clearly to their
minds, they will still doubt and continue to
think that there...

Hello,
Be suspicious of any financial sales person that tries to sell you a product or service in which their income derives totally from the sales commission. Ask yourself the important question–is this financial product or service in my best interests or the salesman best interests? As recent time and events have shown, it is usually in the salesman best interests not necessarily yours. If you derive any financial benefit it is of secondary or tertiary concern.
Now back to the question of how to view financial sales people? You should view them as–USED CAR SALESMEN IN FANCY SUITS. Most...

Hello,
This prolonged and floundering economy will give rise to the New Business Lords and the New Business Serfs.
The new lords will be those business people who can quickly discern, adapt to, and exploit the unpredictable movements in the turbulent flow of life. The new lords will be those business people that have as their target the goal of growing the free cash flow (income from operations minus capital expenditures) of their business. This cash flow represents the means— the wherewithal— for those shrewd business people to take advantage of opportunities and events that presents...

In the mid 1950s Russian premier (dictator) Nikita Khrushchev stated before the UN, “We do not have to worry about the United States. They will spend themselves out of existance.” How true!
At the rate the Federal Govt. is spending money and taking on debt, we will be facing an economic train wreck in another 3 to 4 years. By 2013 interest on the public debt will be the largest single item in the U.S. Federal Budget. This is unsustainable.
Like electrons in a circuit, to correct this imbalance Congress will most likely take the path of least resistance by raising taxes. The new...
